Why have a CAD plan?

February 28, 2015

We create Computer Aided Design (CAD) plans when renovating and designing new or existing spaces. This provides a visual representation of where plants, a new patio, stepping stones, or a driveway will be placed and its relation to existing structures or features.  A CAD plan is uniquely created for each project. A CAD plan is a technical drawing for those in trade. It is a to-scale plan that is also a working drawing for people in the trade. CAD plans are useful for many reasons. A large CAD plan will show the whole area and property line, as well as other existing structures, or plants. However, the plan can also be zoomed in to work on a specific area of interest. A CAD plan is the transition from idea to vision, it is the first step in designing a garden.
